SLX wireless delivers superior audio quality in an easy-to-use and quickly configurable package. Offering Shure's patented Audio Reference Companding technology for more transmission clarity and dynamic range, along with an innovative setup complete with automatic synchronization, SLX supports up to 20 compatible systems, and setup is nearly effortless. SLX's Auto Frequency Selection and Auto Transmitter Setup scans the wireless landscape and identifies a clear channel instantly. Then, guided by an infrared link, at the touch of a button the transmitter automatically syncs with the receiver. With over 960 operating frequencies across 24 MHz of UHF bandwidth, you should be able to quickly and easily set up up to 20 systems (area dependent). These diversity systems feature metal receivers, rack hardware, detachable antennas, a backlit multifunction LCD display, 1/4-inch and XLR outputs, frequency and power lockouts, an In Line power supply, and a rear-panel volume control. The transmitters feature a timed backlit LCD, frequency and power lockouts, 300 ft. (100m) of operating range, and 8-hour operation on two AA batteries.

The Shure Model Beta 87A is a premium quality supercardioid hand-held electret condenser vocal microphone with exceptionally smooth frequency response and high sound pressure level (SPL) capability. Used for professional sound reinforcement, broadcasting, and studio recording applications, the Beta 87A combines superb performance with the ruggedness needed for touring and field production.

The Beta 87A features a controlled low-frequency roll-off that compensates for proximity effect and prevents the “boomy” sound often associated with close pick-up. The characteristic Shure presence rise brightens the upper midrange. The tight supercardioid pattern, with null points at approximately 125 degrees, provides maximum isolation from other vocalists or instruments while offering minimal off-axis coloration. The Beta 87A operates on phantom power.
