SLX24 with SM86

SLX wireless delivers superior audio quality in an easy-to-use and quickly configurable package. Offering Shure's patented Audio Reference Companding technology for more transmission clarity and dynamic range, along with an innovative setup complete with automatic synchronization, SLX supports up to 20 compatible systems, and setup is nearly effortless. SLX's Auto Frequency Selection and Auto Transmitter Setup scans the wireless landscape and identifies a clear channel instantly. Then, guided by an infrared link, at the touch of a button the transmitter automatically syncs with the receiver. With over 960 operating frequencies across 24 MHz of UHF bandwidth, you should be able to quickly and easily set up up to 20 systems (area dependent). These diversity systems feature metal receivers, rack hardware, detachable antennas, a backlit multifunction LCD display, 1/4-inch and XLR outputs, frequency and power lockouts, an In Line power supply, and a rear-panel volume control. The transmitters feature a timed backlit LCD, frequency and power lockouts, 300 ft. (100m) of operating range, and 8-hour operation on two AA batteries.

Handheld Transmitter with SM 86 Vocal Microphone
 

The Shure SM86 is a unidirectional (cardioid) condenser vocal microphone for professional use in live performance. An extremely rugged microphone, the SM86 withstands the rigors of touring while delivering studio-quality sound. The tailored frequency response of the SM86 reproduces vocals with clarity. A cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. The built-in three-point shock mount minimizes handling noise, and a two-stage pop filter reduces wind and breath "pop" noise. The SM86 is an excellent selection for use with both stage monitors and personal in-ear monitors.
